BALLTOWN/NISKAYUNA MEDICAL IMAGING

2546 Balltown Rd. / Ste. 100 / Schenectady, NY12309  518.372.1344

Balltown/Niskayuna Medical Imaging (BMI) was established in June of 1990. It offers state-of-the-art outpatient diagnostic radiology services, provided by an experienced and caring staff, to individuals in the Capital Region and beyond.

BMI is owned and operated by the eleven, American College of Radiology (ACR) certified, physicians of Schenectady Radiologists, P.C., (SRPC). SRPC has been providing radiology services to the major hospitals in Schenectady since 1967.

Balltown/Niskayuna Medical Imaging offers the latest technology available to patients while recognizing that it is the people who greet you, the technologists performing your tests, and the radiologists interpreting them that make the real difference.

Our office was recently renovated for the comfort and convenience of our patients. Our improvements include:

  • A high field open MRI housed in a large room with windows and skylights (the first MRI room of this kind in the country).
  • A 64 slice CT scanner that produces superior quality images, including cardiac images, while exposing patients to a minimum amount of radiation.

  • Digital mammography, new in 2008, that features a special filter that minimizes the "scatter" of imaging energy which results in crisper images.

  • A new digital X-ray machine that allows physicians to view images within seconds of them being taken.

Joseph Pazienza, MD is the President of SRPC as well as Director of Outpatient Imaging
