For decades the partners of Schenectady Radiologists, PC (SRPC Medical Imaging), have been caring for women in the region using the latest technology available. They continue their dedication to women's health with the addition of the following important screening and diagnostic options:

BREAST MRI: SRPC's Guilderland Medical Imaging (GMI) offers this valuable service to women, which is quickly becoming recognized as the superior method of scanning breasts in women at high risk for breast cancer, or those with certain tissue densities or other more rare conditions.

DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY: The latest advances in digital mammography are a very exciting development in the fight against breast cancer prevention. The quality of images has improved tremendously with this revolutionary technology. Special filters prevent "scatter" of the radiation, which creates more clear images, using less radiation. SRPC recently installed digital mammogram units in all of their locations.

BONE DENSITY SCANNING: Balltown Medical Imaging, and Guilderland Medical Imaging, are the only facilities in the area that offers both QCT and Dexa bone density scans. QCT is a lesser known bone scan using CT scanners that provides a different look at bone measurements when needed. Dexa scans are more common and excellent for most accurate measurements in most people.
